The Research College of Theatre Art: Child in the World of Theatre Art

Dear theatre experts!
It is our pleasure to inform you that Subotica International Children’s Theatre Festival, in co-operation with the Theatre Museum of Vojvodina from Novi Sad (Serbia), is organizing an INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COLLEGE OF THEATRE ARTS conference for the second time, now under the title: CHILD IN THE WORLD OF THEATRE ART.
The aim of the forthcoming meeting is to rethink and confront different concepts of the theatre for children, especially with regard to understanding child as recipient, in order to get a better insight into the current state and to properly define future guidelines, so the following themes which could influence future development of theatre for the youngest are suggested:

  • From children’s play to  show for children
  • Human culture as children’s heritage. Literature for adults transposed to children (Robinson Crusoe). Adult theatre transposition to children’s/ puppet theatre
  • History of the theatre shows for children
  • Theory and practice of the theatre for children
  • Is the ontogenesis right in child’s education?
  • Between folk tale and folklore
  • Twentieth century concept of the children’s theatre (USA, Soviet Union, France)
